She loved it
The batteries on the camera died as we were trying to get shots of Little E in front of Thomas. You'll have to use your imagination. Here are a couple of shots from our ride (which came complete with Deliverance-style mountain folk waving from rickety homemade platforms overlooking the Tuckasegee River).

Love the pics. Looks like she is having a great time!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip, and see more pics as well. We are planning on taking A to see Thomas in Nashville sometime in September~ I will have to remember your story and not tell her about it to close to the time we go!! Take care, Monica
That FACE!!! She is gorgeous. I love the hair, too--I can't wait until Maggie's has grown out enough to give her a bob. It's stuff like Thomas visits and Sesame Street Live which makes all the driven-round-the-bend moments worth it, isn't it? Just to see those dear little faces in total awe and excitement.
(BTW, in re the TV comment on my blog--we already watch WAY too much TV so being so exhausted means I give in to demands for "more Elmo" more often than I should. And I am glad I am not the only whose second pregnancy is KILLING them. It's 9 pm on a Saturday night here and I am shortly taking the Harry Potter book and going to bed. Ah, the glamorous life of the urban parenr...)
She is having a good time! And to answer your question in the post that appears in bloglines... Asheville and Chapel Hill are the two liberal havens in this otherwise pretty conservative state.
A month after being told that there was a less than 1% chance of conceiving again using my own eggs, I found myself pregnant. After an anxious pregnancy, I found myself blessed with another daughter. We decided to temp fate and try for a third child. Two miscarriages later, I'm trying to figure out what comes next. In this space, I talk about mothering, working and life in general.

Thanks, everyone! We are home. We are a bit exhausted, but it was a good trip.
Suz, I took that post down because I was worried it might be misinterpreted. It was SO refreshing to be in such a progressive area.
Oh, she's so cute!!!!!!!!!!!
